Can this medium provide something that no other medium can? That is a good question. I believe that the newspaper does not provide a special something in terms of news just because nowadays the internet has its own various news websites which can be used for all sorts of news. This includes local which brings me to the Baltimore Sun. The Baltimore Sun however would provide something special in terms of interviews. To me the newspaper at least provides a different kind of interview than other mediums can such as TV and the internet. I believe this way because in terms of at least the sports section, the paper always tries to keep up with the latest on our Baltimore sports teams. This is demonstrated to me in the fact that it is no secret that the Orioles have not had many good seasons lately yet, during the season and the off season, the Baltimore Sun provides us with the most up to date news and information regarding the Orioles for the present and upcoming seasons. This in turn keeps making me believe that the Orioles will be able to one day soon rise to the top of the MLB. As for more sports the Ravens, with another disappointing loss to the Steelers to end the season the Sun provides me an insight into which the owner and coaching staff are already preparing ideas on how next year it will be the Ravens’ year and not even the Steelers be able to stand up to them. In other words the very little newspaper I read I at least like hearing about the sports section which the newspaper constantly keeps up to date and does not give up on the teams like most fans do after a bad season or loss. They keep talking about them in order to keep up the hopes of the fans and not allow disappointment to overtake them.
